Frequently asked questions

Do you offer refund?

No. All our cakes are made to order, so we do not issue refunds for any purchases. Please review all details carefully before confirming your order. Once an order is placed, changes of mind, cancellations, or refunds will not be available.

Can I change my order after placing it?

We recommend double checking your order before checkout. If you notice an error shortly after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible at info@bakeabreak.au. While we can’t guarantee changes, we’ll do our best to assist if your order hasn’t yet entered production.

How far in advance should I order my cake?

We suggest placing your order at least 3 days in advance to secure your preferred date.

For weddings or large events, it’s best to book at least 1 month ahead, as our schedule fills quickly.

For last minute order, please CALL 0432 456 559. We will try our best to get your cake finish on time.

Where do I pick up my cake?

All pickups are from our studio at 99 Hotham Street, Balaclava VIC 3183.

You will select your preferred date and time during checkout, so please arrive within the time slot you choose to ensure your cake is ready and in perfect condition.

What happened if I can't pick up my cake on time?

If you’re running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate where we can, but Bake a Break cannot be held responsible for any quality issues caused by delayed collection.

Do you deliver?

We do not offer delivery at the moment. All orders are pickup only from our studio.

If you’re unable to pick up your cake yourself, many of our clients arrange Uber or another courier service to collect their order on their behalf. Please note that once the cake leaves our studio, we are not responsible for any damage or handling issues during transport.

How should I store my cake?

Most cakes should be kept in the fridge and taken out 30–60 minutes before serving for the best texture and flavour. We’ll provide specific storage advice when you collect your order.

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

We can adjust certain recipes to be nut-free or halal-friendly upon request.

At the moment, we do not offer gluten free or dairy free options. All products are prepared in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts, so we cannot guarantee that any cake is completely allergen-free.
